For A Man With A Plan: Personalised Calendars
Though it’s an age old tradition that has been honoured for hundreds of years, buying birthday presents for friends and family members is a strange little custom when you think about it. Naturally we all love it when our birthday rolls around and we’re the one faced with a huge pile of presents, in fact there are few things better. Sleepily stumbling down the stairs in your PJs, only to be reminded it’s your birthday by a whopping great big stack of presents kindly provided by your friends and family. Just lovely!
But, whilst we all love receiving presents, buying them is an entirely different kettle of fish. In theory, buying presents that you’re confident your friends and family members will love should be a pretty easy and straight forward task. You (presumably!) know them pretty well by now their interests, hobbies, tastes and so on and so finding something that’s sure to be met with a warm reception when the wrapping paper’s ripped off should really be a piece of cake. The thing is though, it just never is. More often than not, we that we trot off merrily into town, happy in the delusion that this whole present buying thing will take no longer than an hour at the very most, leaving us plenty of time to go to the gym, do a bit of gardening, finally finish that book on our night stand, or whatever else it is we have on our ‘to do’ list. Soon, however, we come to the realisation that this whole present buying lark is much more tricky than originally anticipated and before you know it all ideas of treadmills and pot plants are a distant memory and instead we’re immersed in a fog of ‘what on earth am I going to buy?’ panic.
Furthermore, it seems that this problem is even worse when it comes to buying presents for the men in our lives. With female friends and family, when you’re stuck for ideas and their birthday is fast approaching, there are a number of fail-safe presents you can always turn to that are pretty much guaranteed to be well received. Things along the lines of perfume, chocolates, jewellery and flowers are, for example, always likely to go down well with the ladies. With men however, the options seem to be far more limited basically if you’re running low on time or ideas, the presents most of us plump for are either beer, ties or the dreaded novelty socks. Oh dear.
The mistake that most of us make when looking for presents for male friends or family members is that we choose to conduct the great gift hunt down at the local shopping centre, when instead we’d be much better off sitting down with a nice cup of tea and having a look at what’s available on-line.
The Internet is a treasure trove of potential presents that you wouldn’t find in your average shop, particularly when it comes to personalised gifts. There are a huge number of personalised gifts out there which all make great presents for men, with one of the very best of these being personalised calendars.
Personalised calendars make brilliant presents for blokes for a number of reasons, the first and most obvious of which being that you can personalise them! This means that the lucky birthday boy’s name will be incorporated into each of the calendar’s 12 images, making personalised calendars a unique and unusual gift that lasts the whole year round. Another quirky little trait of personalised calendars that makes them great presents is that they can be made to start on any month of the year, so that the birthday boy can start using his new calendar as soon as he gets it – very handy!
The other brilliant thing about personalised calendars is that they are available in so many different designs, meaning you’ll definitely be able to find one that appeals to the birthday boy. If the man in question is an avid lover of a particular sport, personalised calendars featuring images of football, cricket, rugby, tennis, golf, fishing or motor sports are definitely going to be well received. If, on the other hand, the birthday boy dreams of seeing his name in lights, personalised calendars such as the film star calendar will certainly go down a treat. Music loving men will love personalised calendars that pay homage to their passion (such as the music legends calendar) and for green-fingered gents gardening themed personalised calendars will surely hit the spot! Lastly, if the man in question has an eye for the ladies, cheeky personalised calendars will certainly fit the bill!
